Mathieu Worhmann - Visionary and entrepreneur

Mathieu Worhmann is a born entrepreneur and heads Van der Valk Congres & Spa Mons. In 2018, he took over the concession of the Palais des Congrès with a clear goal: to make it the event icon of the city of Mons. A dynamic investor and manager, he is passionate about developing this exceptional venue, always driven by the ambition to push boundaries and raise Mons' profile on a national level.

Fabienne de Brabanter - Director and project creator

Fabienne de Brabanter arrived in December 2022 to strengthen internal event development and took over as General Manager in April 2023. With a unique background in both business and the arts, Fabienne is the driving force behind the centre's new identity, renamed Palais des Congrès de Mons. Her boundless creativity and innovative vision are reflected in the rich and varied programme she orchestrates with talent.

With several years of experience in the private sector, Jean-François Stuer is Deputy and Operations Director at the Palais des Congrès, where he supports Fabienne de Brabanter with expertise in the growth and optimization of the venue.

Since July 2023, Meggie Block has been in charge of external event management. A true conductor of projects, she centralises requests, processes them meticulously and ensures that every detail is taken into account for the big day. Organised, persistent and meticulous, she ensures that every event runs smoothly.

Palais des Congrès' stage manager Valery Tournai knows the venue like the back of his hand. He prepares the halls and makes sure each room is perfectly adapted to the needs of the event. Valery is also on hand to support organisers during their events to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
